About Dominic
Dominic is a Solicitor-Advocate and has spent more than 5 years advising on construction law, litigation, and commercial disputes. He joined Berwick Law in 2022 and now practices exclusively in construction law. He is an experienced drafter, negotiator, and advocate with a demonstrated history of working in high-value and complex matters.
Experience:
Dominic is a confident and accomplished solicitor-advocate with experience in adjudications, ADR and the Technology and Construction Court. Dominic has been part of the team at Berwick Law since the start of 2022.
Expertise:
Dominic advises on adjudications and general litigation, as well as isolated pieces of work on construction projects and contract advisory work. He has a strong track record of handling large and varied caseloads, involving technically complex issues. Dominic has robustly defended companies and conducted business-critical negotiations from cradle to grave. He advises clients on the successful delivery of construction projects, particularly in relation to the drafting and negotiation of robust construction contracts. He is a skilled advocate focused on dispute resolution, mediation, and adjudication.
Dominic has a clinical approach to advising clients utilising an analytical approach which requires both granular and big-picture thinking when advising clients and builds long-term, trusted client relationships. Post conclusion of the matter, Dominic always makes recommendations in case debriefs, particularly following disputes, to help clients improve their processes and future-proof their ways of working to minimise risk and support growth.
As a solicitor-advocate Dominic has secured Higher Rights of Audience, enabling him to represent clients in county courts through to the Supreme Court. Dominic’s advocacy skills are regularly deployed in mediation, joint settlement meetings, and in courts of all levels.
