Founder & Director
Warren is a construction law specialist with more than two decades of experience advising clients on a range of contentious and non-contentious matters. He provides clear and direct advice to his clients to help resolve complex contractual disputes, as well as advising on procurement and contract drafting.
Experience:
Warren is a vastly experienced legal professional and has spent more than two decades advising all tiers of the construction and engineering industries on procurement, contract drafting, and disputes. Warren worked at some top-tier law firms and was a partner at Kennedys, heading the Construction, Engineering and Projects team, before establishing Berwick Law in 2013.
Expertise:
Warren manages UK and international disputes in the Courts, and through arbitration and adjudication. Warren will think about an exit strategy for a client; always looking to achieve the right result for the client at the earliest stage. Warren will always give robust and honest advice about the merits of a dispute but will fight a case hard if the merits warrant it. His expertise, coupled with extensive knowledge of the construction sector, allows Warren to quickly identify the key issues facing his clients. Regardless of the situation, Warren is thorough in his approach to help minimise the business risk to clients, focusing on securing the best outcome.
Warren advises on domestic and international transactions, from drafting complex, bespoke contracts, or amending standard form contracts, to analysing project documents. When drafting he helps clients understand the risks involved in a project and then seeks to allocate those risks appropriately between the parties. If risk allocation is clear in the contract documents, any later disputes are often easier to manage and resolve.
Who Warren acts for:
Warren regularly advises clients across all tiers of the construction and engineering industries, including developers, contractors, sub-contractors, design professionals, and consultants, as well as their insurers.
