What we do
Our team of construction law experts are regularly appointed by developers, main contractors, sub-contractors, designers, and project managers across all tiers of the construction industry to:
- Draft and negotiate contracts;
- Draft bespoke contracts;
- Draft amendments to standard form contract – we have a working knowledge of many of the standard forms, but we have a great deal of experience with JCT and NEC contracts;
- Draft associated contracts, for example collateral warranties and guarantees;
Whatever the client’s situation, our team will undertake a comprehensive consultation with the client to understand the objectives and requirements of the project. When drafting new contracts our team will advise as to whether the risk profile is right for the business, define the risks each party will accept, and will set out the mechanisms to manage those risks.
